The National Grid is one of the world’s largest utility company’s focused on delivering energy safely, efficiently and responsibly. In 2008 the National Grid’s new workplace in Solihull was completed.
Project Manager, Mandy Harvey explains that a few years ago National Grid began a programme of rationalisation of its properties with the objective of having fewer but better buildings. She explains; ‘The new office in Solihull is a perfect example of this, where in one street alone we now house three separate facilities.’ The brief was to bring the 1990’s building into the 21st century.
The Boss Design Adda range of soft seating was specified for the reception area. Mandy continues; ‘We wanted a rectangular modular approach with semi-circular ends.’ |

| Boss Designs Adda’s seating range encompasses the modular versatility making it the ideal choice for the reception space. Boss Designs two-seater Kurv bench seating was also specified in smart brown leather. It’s perfectly curved form followed the shape of the wall and further reflected the curve of the reception desk. |
