The Choo chair from Boss Design was chosen as the presenter’s chairs for the set. Specified in a sophisticated cream vinyl and complemented with a chrome 4-leg base, Choo was the perfect contrast to the red hues of the vibrant studio set.
Paul Engesser-Sudlow commented on his decision to specify the Choo chair;
‘We did extensive research into the style of the seating and selected the Choo chair from Boss Design for its distinctive style and exceptional comfort. We had to take into consideration that the presenters were going to be seated for very long periods of time - on some occasions for over 12 hours a day - so we were looking for a chair that could accommodate this, yet still offer a stylish aesthetic.’
He continues;
‘I have used Boss Design chairs on a number of occasions from my Crimewatch days through to BBC News, so I was already familiar with the styling and high quality finish of their products. I also needed to work with a company who could provide a quick turnaround as I needed to transport the chairs weeks in advance of the World Cup and Boss Design were able to rise to this challenge.’
‘The feedback on the chairs so far has been very positive. Guests and presenters have commented on the exceptional comfort and relaxed style of the Choo chair. This won’t be the last time that I use the Choo chair; I have a number of imminent projects including the Premier Leagues new television channel which will be broadcast across the globe from August.’
The Choo chair also featured on the BBC World Cup 2010 sports coverage. |
