Jackie Choi moved to the UK from South Korea, and in 2003 completed a BA Hons in Furniture Design and Technology at London Metropolitan University. In her final year Jackie exhibited at the Workplace 03 Exhibition held at Excel and it was here that she was spotted by Boss Design.
The Eye chair, manufactured by Boss Design became Jackie’s first commercial venture. Its unique architectural design has established Eye as a statement piece. Its eye-catching appearance has attracted major attention from the A&D community as well as the media, featuring on Graham Norton’s BBC talk-show, The Bigger Picture. |

Jackie is now in partnership with her sister Lloyd under Jackie Choi London. Jackie Choi London offers a design consulting service working with British craftsmanship manufacturers to produce bespoke products on selected designs.
Jackie’s interest in furniture design stems from her love of art. She says ‘I love art and yet most of the time we need permission to touch it. I like the idea that furniture is very much tactile to the human body. It is there to be touched and it interacts with the body. I want to create something that enhances our lives and is intriguing, like art.’
