Boss Design have opened the doors to their brand new Clerkenwell showroom.

Situated at Charterhouse Square, on Clerkenwell Road, the showroom boasts an impressive 8,000 sq foot of show space.

Designed by M.Moser Associates, the design brief was to create a space that was both clean and contemporary and warm and welcoming. A key design feature of the showroom is the use of glass and mirrors, giving the showroom a great sense of space.

“Even though the finished look is clean and simple, the finest materials have been used to achieve this.  For example the white stone floor and the wide oak panelled floor in the boardroom.” Brian Murray, MD of Boss Design.

Charlie Millard, Director of M. Moser comments:
 “The mirrors, black tiles and white stone flooring provide a stage for the furniture. As Boss change their upholstery the showroom continues to support that.  The furniture makes the setting and the settings are created by Boss.  The stone floor provides a canvas for the furniture, so it is the furniture that sets the mood, not the architecture”

“A glass topped pod was positioned half way up the stairs which means that the product placed upon it can be viewed from all dimensions. You can see the furniture from above and below by virtue of the fact you have reflections.”

“The bar was designed with Brian’s personality in mind, we wanted to create an area to make people feel welcome. The hospitality aspect is very important, which is why the bar is positioned right at the front of the showroom so it is the first thing you see when you walk in.”

“The showroom is somewhere where Boss customers, the furniture and Boss staff can all meet. It is essentially a meeting place.”

Brian Murray comments: “It is of the up most importance that the client feels they are in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in which to do business, and that they are more than happy to bring in their own clients knowing they’ll be looked after in a friendly and hospitable manner”.
