Sustainability Management earns Boss Design The Queen's Award for Enterprise.
Leading UK seating manufacturer Boss Design is delighted to have been recognised once again for its continued sustainable business practices. Considered the ultimate corporate accolade, the Queen's Award for Enterprise further demonstrates that in a time of economic uncertainty Boss Design is serious about its corporate social responsibility.
The Queen's Award recognises and rewards the outstanding achievements of UK companies. Boss Design has been commended for its ongoing commitment to sustainability and in particular its drive to embed sustainability through the life-cycle of its product ranges.
The company which has sought to address all aspects of its business activity, has enhanced not only the environmental sustainability of its products and operations, but also delivered tangible socio-economic benefits to its customers and suppliers. |

Upon hearing the news Managing Director Brian Murray said; ‘I am overwhelmed at the news and pleased to confirm that sustainability remains at the top of our business agenda’.
He added; ‘From a standing start in 1983 we are pleased to have seen continued year-on-year growth. Our local and global sustainability management programme has been a major contributor to our continued success such that we now employ over 200 people and have a customer base that spans the globe’.
The announcement came on the Queen’s official birthday 21st April 2009. Boss Design now looks forward to the official presentation of the award by a representative of the Queen in the very near future. |
