Entrepreneurial drive and continued investment makes MD of Boss Design, Brian Murray a lifetime achiever.
Brian Murray, Managing Director of leading international seating manufacturer Boss Design, has been presented with an industry Lifetime Achievement Award sponsored by Steelcase at the recent Mixology Awards 2008. Boss Design was founded by Brian Murray in 1983 and has gone on to achieve consistent year-on-year growth in both the UK and international marketplace. Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Brian has no plans to rest on his laurels and take it easy. The next twenty-five years promise to be as exciting for the company as the latter. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Brian in recognition of his achievements and his contribution to the industry. Mix Interiors commended him for his sheer determination and his readiness to continuously invest in new products, manufacturing processes and marketing. He was further praised by the industry for his fine humour and his entrepreneurial drive.

An elated Brian Murray collected his award to a standing ovation and commented; ‘I am very proud to have played a part in such an exciting and dynamic industry and delighted to witness the vast improvement in quality and product design that fellow UK manufacturers are delivering. We are now competing head-to-head with the bastions of European furniture design and we are coming out on top’. He added; ‘As for my lifetime achievement; the only downside is that this generally means that you’re getting really old, but I look forward to seeing what the next twenty-five years bring.’ Other event images can be found in the media centre. |
