Leading International UK contract seating manufacturer Boss Design are delighted to have been recognised for its sustainable business practices at the recent Manufacturer Awards which took place recently at the Excel Centre in London. The award which acknowledges the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability saw Boss Design win the prestigious award for Sustainable Manufacturing and receive particular merit for its environmental best practice and engagement with local education projects. The Sustainable Manufacturing category acknowledges those companies that excel in areas such as energy efficiency, recycling waste materials, rationalising and cutting back on transport usage, developing environmental awareness and protecting the local environment. |
Collecting the award with members from the company’s environmental committee, Virginia Seaward, Head of Operations said; 'It is a credit to everyone at Boss Design that the Manufacturer Awards have recognised our commitment and dedication to sustainable development. This is a very important part of our business and we are very passionate about doing the right thing by our society and the environment'. She added; ‘Just being short listed was a phenomenal achievement. I am delighted that we have secured this award as it further demonstrates our ongoing commitment to sustainable business practices.' The Manufacturer Awards which recognise world class achievement in British manufacturing are now in its fifth year.
