Royal Sun Alliance (RSA) is an insurance company with 33 offices located around the world. Recent growth had resulted in their Paris facilities becoming too small. RSA decided to relocate to the prestigious Saint Honoré near to The Louvre.

The new building signalled an opportunity for the interior to incorporate the vibrant and colourful imagery of the brand and to reflect the RSA’s very high standards.

Julien Diard, Interiors Consultant of Moon Concepts, worked with RSA to specify 90 vibrantly upholstered Moneypenny task chairs with black mesh backs. The chairs were upholstered in ‘Tarot’ a purple fabric from the Camira Xtreme Plus range. The purple of the Moneypenny seat matched that of the RSA’s brand and met with the specifications outlined by Benoît Derréal, Operations Director at RSA Global, to source a comfortable and ergonomically sound chair. 6 Eye chairs, upholstered in Kvadrat Divina Melange were an exact match to the brands pink and grey colour way. These were specified for the reception area with the intention of reflecting the company’s dynamic spirit.

The most interesting and challenging part of this project was conducting the research on the creativity, colour and furniture style which would purposely portray a completely different image to that usually associated with an insurance business.”
